Experience & Daily Flow
Each day begins with meditation followed by an invigorating yoga asana practice, 90 minutes total.
Around 5:00 PM, gather again for deep restorative practices, Yin yoga, or Yoga Nidra.
The week will include an intentional workshop and a sacred fire ceremony.

Use one of 18 onsite bicycles to ride around town, to the beach, or through the vineyards.
Book an onsite massage or arrange extra outings such as sunset beach horseback riding and neighboring historic towns.

Note on shared rooms
Shared rooms must be arranged by the guests. Please select your preferred room type and include the first and last names of anyone you are planning to room with. Lori will confirm the room type directly once everyone is ready to move forward together. Until a shared arrangement is confirmed, single parties should expect a private room. Strangers will not be paired unless a mutual opportunity arises and all parties agree. Only select rooms can accommodate extra beds.

Because Salinara's venue arrangements are non-refundable, confirmed retreat reservations are non-refundable. Travel insurance is highly recommended. If your plans change, you are welcome to transfer your spot to another person. You must have someone ready to take your spot, or if a waitlist exists, Lori may be able to help with the transfer.
Travel & Transportation
Hosted transit from Palermo airport can be organized for approximately EUR 175 per person, per trip.
Take the train or bus from Palermo airport to Marsala, about EUR 12 and 90 minutes, followed by a short Uber ride.
Rent a car at the airport if you want extra freedom to explore the region at your own pace.
Host & Trust
Village of Islands Yoga founder Lori Dye E-RYT, YACEP, is originally from Ottawa, Canada. She has traveled and taught yoga all over the U.S., in Canada, Costa Rica, Italy, Portugal, and Thailand and now calls northern New York her home. She has been practicing yoga for over 35 years and it is truly her way of being. Her love of yoga lies in the magic of the breath, the harmony of internal peace & joy and the physical benefits of daily practice; this love emanates through her teaching.
Lori's teaching style is warm, breath-guided, and adaptable. She offers modifications so guests can listen to their bodies while still feeling held by the group rhythm.
